What infill does
Infill is the sand-like layer between the blades. It holds the fibers upright, weighs the turf down, and protects the backing from wear and sun. Desert wind, rinsing and regular use all carry some of it away over time.
Signs your infill is low
- Blades lie flat even after brushing
- You can see or feel the backing when you part the fibers
- The turf feels thin or crunchy underfoot in some areas

Choosing an infill
We'll match what's already in your turf in most cases. For pet areas, an odor-absorbing infill such as zeolite can be added to help control ammonia smell. Pair it with pet odor removal for dog runs.
